Runners in the shadows
In the shadow of The Roar, where monster trucks crush streets and surveillance drones fill the skies, two minifigs operate beneath notice. Their weapons? Speed and silence.
Set 60400, once simple racing go-karts, now plays a critical role in the Glitch. These two racers, former competitors in Cyberstone’s underground circuits, now drive a yellow and a teal go-kart—small, fast, and quiet enough to slip between The Roar’s patrol zones unnoticed.
They aren’t fighters. They’re Runners—specialists in recon, delivery, and rapid evasion. When The Mechanic needs rare parts, intercepted transmissions, or prototype tools moved across the city, the Runners get it done. Their karts have been stripped down and rebuilt with custom upgrades: noise-dampening motors, low-visibility paint, thermal shielding, and encrypted comms relays.
Each day, they risk their lives threading narrow alleys, abandoned service tunnels, and maintenance shafts—all to stay out of sight of Roar-1 and Roar-2, the cube’s heavy enforcers. But their mission is more than survival. Every successful run feeds data back to The Mechanic: routes, signal patterns, weaknesses.
They’ve started mapping The Roar’s movements in real time.
The cube knows they exist. It’s tried to trap them—deploying speed drones, blocking off shortcuts, and laying sensor mines. But it still can’t match their agility. The Runners remain one step ahead, carving thin lines of resistance through a city that’s forgetting how to fight.
To many, The Roar looks unstoppable. But there’s hope in the silence between engines when two go-karts dart across rooftops under moonlight.
The cube might control the streets, but it doesn’t control every corner.
Not yet.
