Welcome to Stackin’ Studs

Welcome to Stackin’ Studs! Hello! I’m Josh, your trusty guide to a world of LEGO wonder. As an Aussie AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO), I’ve embarked on a thrilling journey that blends my passion for creativity, nostalgia, and the joy of building.

A Peek into My World

I’m from the sun-soaked Central Coast of NSW, Australia, where my weekends were once filled with bike rides and fishing adventures along the local wharves. Back in the day, my brother and I kept a humble stash of LEGO tucked away in the cupboard. We’d pour it out and let our imaginations run wild, crafting remarkable creations from those colourful bricks.

Now, as an adult with the means to explore my interests, you’ll often find me working on DIY projects around the house, immersing myself in a good book, or delving into the world of mineral collecting.

But one lifelong dream has called to me—an epic LEGO city. Come August 2023, I decided to turn that dream into reality. While at it, I’ve utilised my UX design, website design, and development skills to bring you this website, a platform to share my LEGO journey with you.

Introducing Cyberstone

But that’s not all; a significant development is taking shape. At the centre of my LEGO journey stands Cyberstone, a dystopian LEGO city, rebuilt on the wreckage of Stonemine Springs. Once a quiet mining town, everything changed in 2023 when workers unearthed a strange black cube deep underground. The moment it was opened, it hijacked every digital system in seconds.

Scattered across Cyberstone are those who broke free. A miner who smashed his implant before it could activate. A rogue technician who rerouted the signal. A courier using the burger truck to move food, gear, and intel between safe zones.

It’s a thrilling chapter in my LEGO project, and I’m excited to bring you along as I build and customise Cyberstone.
