Cyberstone Foundations
In the Cyberstone September 2023 update we have laid the foundations with the help of 4 IKEA Melltorp tables. They have metal legs, so they should be more than strong enough to hold the city. I chose the smaller tables for better modularity in the room.
I can also utilise the space underneath the tables for storage of various items. To ensure I have some storage space for all the future BrickLink orders that will be coming in, I added two IKEA Alex wide drawer units that fit perfectly under each of the tables.
Things will surely change and improve as we build, so Join me as I persist in planning and constructing this epic Lego city.
Construction has started by filling the area with 36 baseplates so let me tell you about Cyberstone.
Cyberstone, as the locals now call it, rose from the wreckage of Stonemine Springs.
It stands on land owned by Sir Josh, an eccentric lapidary artist with a deep passion for IT, mining, and geology.
The fall of Stonemine Springs began in 2023. Miners unearthed a mysterious cube deep underground.
Ignoring the risks, they opened it. The cube instantly connected to every digital device in the mines, hijacking them one by one. Within minutes, it spread across the town, bringing everything under its control.
Today, only two original buildings survive on the outskirts of Cyberstone: the old A-frame cabin and the Police Station.They stand as silent witnesses to the town’s collapse.
The cube didn’t stop at taking over machines. It created an army of bots to rebuild the city and keep mining operations running. It also embedded itself into the minds of civilians, twisting them into enforcers for its growing bot army.
Cyberstone is no longer a city built by human hands. It’s a city rebuilt and ruled by a force beyond anyone’s control.
