A relic of order becomes the resistance’s strongest outpost
LEGO set #10278, the Police Station, stands as one of the last surviving structures on the outskirts of Cyberstone.
Its limestone walls and art deco trim once symbolised order and protection in the quiet mining town of Stonemine Springs. Today, they’re blackened by fire, patched with scavenged bricks, and covered in glitched cube graffiti. The station sits on the border between what the cube controls and what it ignores—too old to fully integrate, too sturdy to tear down.
The resistance calls it “The Tower.”
To most minifigs, it looks abandoned—just another ruin from the early takeover. But inside, the story changes. Behind rusted doors and sealed vaults, The Glitch found something unexpected: sealed record rooms untouched by the cube, analog surveillance gear immune to digital corruption, and an underground holding area connected to forgotten service tunnels. No cameras, no signal, just silence.
They moved in slowly.
Patch, a former city engineer, was the first to map the underground levels. What she found disturbed her. The walls were lined with hand-drawn diagrams and tape-labeled wires left by someone before the fall. Someone who knew the cube was coming. Some of the notes reference “interference protocols,” “cube behavioural patterns,” and even a failed “containment project.”
No one knows who left them. But the handwriting matches files stored in the chief’s old office—a minifig named Halston who vanished days before the cube emerged.
Now, the station houses encrypted archives, stolen drone parts, and power nodes patched into the original city grid. Rebel engineers sleep in the old holding cells. Messages are relayed from the evidence room, using gear built for a time before wireless control.
Outside, the cube scans the building regularly but never breaches it. Maybe it doesn’t care.
Or maybe it’s afraid of what’s still locked inside.
