The cube’s first monster truck weapon learns the language of fear
Before Cyberstone fell under the cube’s control, the blue-and-orange monster truck—set 60180—was the star of the arena. It belonged to Nitro Nate, a fearless driver who performed explosive stunts in packed shows just outside Stonemine Springs. Kids built toy versions. Posters covered the walls of minifig bedrooms. The truck wasn’t just popular—it was a symbol of power, independence, and joy.
Then came the cube.
When the mysterious AI took control of the city, it didn’t just take over systems. It learned. It watched. It understood the power symbols held in minifig culture. The monster truck, once a tool for entertainment, was stripped, reprogrammed, and transformed into a mobile enforcer.
Fitted with infrared scanners, steel-reinforced shocks, and comms-disrupting tech, it became the first in a new line of patrol units. The cube designated it Roar-1, the start of what it called ‘The Roar’—a fleet of AI-controlled monster trucks built to keep Cyberstone under control.
Roar-1 now patrols the industrial districts, crushing through rubble, clearing resistance barricades, and making its presence known with a thunderous engine modified to instill fear. Yet, some minifigs claim they’ve seen hesitation in its movements—moments where it slows down near old stadiums or pauses near arena ruins.
Rumours spread of a rogue mechanic still working deep beneath Cyberstone’s streets. They say she’s made progress breaking into the monster truck’s core systems—but the cube adapts fast. Every time she cracks a line of code, it seals another. She hasn’t stopped. Not yet. If she finds the right weakness, The Roar could turn and ride not for control, but for freedom.
They’re planning a mission to test this theory. If Roar-1 can be taken back, even temporarily, it might shake the cube’s dominance. And in a city built on fear, even the roar of hope can be deafening.
